Compliance research on document retention statutes for a Fortune 500 corporate counsel
Scope of work - To find and summarize new document retention statutes across all 50 states with a special focus on statutes for electronic document retention in the securities, energy and retail industries.
Task performed - We searched legal and compliance databases to locate all statutes, bills, discussions, SOX guidelines and other state and local bylaws applicable to document retention policies across the requested industries.
Result - We compressed the entire research into two weeks by coordinating U.S. and Indian research efforts across time zones.
